About the Chapter

The Greater New York Chapter of the Alabama Alumni Association (UANYC) consists of nearly 6,000 Crimson Tide alumni and friends in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The goal of the chapter is to support the University and strengthen the connection between the University and its current students, alumni, family, and friends in the Greater New York area. The chapter has received numerous honors from the University in recent years, including Out-of-State Alumni Chapter of the Year in 2009, Scholarship Leaders Club Award in 2010 and 2011 and Outstanding Communication Award in 2011 from the National Alumni Association and the Outstanding Alumni Award from the Manderson Graduate School of Business in 2012. 
Recognized for its dedicated support of the NAA's scholarship program, UANYC supports seven tuition scholarships:
The Bear Bryant/Greater New York Chapter Endowed Scholarship for a freshman student entering from the states of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut
The Richard A Burch Endowed Scholarship gives priority to high school students from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut with a 3.0 or better GPA
The Ned McDavid Endowed Scholarship for students entering the College of Communications
The Madiline Keaton Cuniif Endowed Aviation Scholarship for students pursuing degrees related to aviation or space exploration
The Diane J. Bostick Endowed Scholarship for students pursuing a degree in one of the Human Environmental Science fields
The Sanford J. Leeds Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The Arthur & Barbara C. Simon Endowed Scholarship

Be sure to note to which scholarship you are contributing. Your scholarship contributions are tax deductible.
Also, your contribution to the National Alumni Association is matched by the collegiate license plate program, so every dollar you contribute means almost two dollars to the scholarship you designate.
