DATE Saturday, September 10, 2011
TIME [TV]
3:30 p.m. [ABC]
MEETING LOCATION Lexington Avenue between 46th & 47th Streets

The Greater New York Chapter is taking a road trip for the second football game of the 2011 season, chartering the best luxury buses available from Hampton Luxury Liner, to see Alabama take on Penn State at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa.

SEAT RESERVATIONS
We are SOLD OUT on seats for this trip.

WEAR CRIMSON!
Let's show our Tide pride and wear Crimson for the game. Penn State fans have been asked to wear white to turn Beaver Stadium into the "Whitehouse". Beaver Stadium has grown from a capacity of 83,370 to 107,282 since Alabama's last visit in 1989 so let's be sure everyone can see Bama fans in full force all over Happy Valley on game day!

DEPARTURE FROM NYC
With kickoff set for 3:30 p.m., the buses will leave from the bus stop on Lexington Avenue between 46th and 47th streets in Manhattan at 8 a.m. to give everyone 2-3 hours before kickoff to get in some tailgating. There will be a designated "family bus" for those traveling with children. Everyone should plan to be at the location by 7:45 so you can get your seat and get settled. With over 200 people on this trip, we will not be able to wait for someone that is late -- either coming or going. Please keep this in mind.

BUS ACCOMMODATIONS
We are chartering the best luxury buses available from
Hampton Luxury Liner. You will have limited storage space above your seat and more storage space in the cargo hold below the bus. We would advise traveling light, but if you want to bring along snacks, your own liquid refreshments, clothing layers, etc you should have space for it and will be able to leave it on the bus during the game. Of course, valuables should not be left behind and neither UANYC or Hamptons Luxury Liner takes any responsibility for items left on the bus.

GAME DAY REFRESHMENTS
Basic snacks and drinks (water, soda) will be provided, but you should plan to eat "meals" before and after the bus trip. We expect the trip to take at least 5 hours - please be prepared. As for entertainment, we have been told that DirectTV service in rural areas like Pennsylvania is very unreliable when the buses are moving so we're going to have DVD's of some of Alabama's greatest games playing during the trip. The entertainment system is similar to that on an airplane, you should bring your own headphones if you want to listen to the DVD broadcast.

ARRIVAL IN STATE COLLEGE
Once in State College, you are free to explore campus, hit the bars, tailgates, etc. The National Alumni Association will be hosting an official tailgate party for the Penn State game. Go to bamatailgate.eventbrite.com to order tickets.

DEPARTURE FROM STATE COLLEGE
After the game, the buses will leave for New York City at 8 p.m. This should give everyone time to celebrate the win and get back to the buses' pick-up location. In the event of the game goes into overtime, the buses will depart 45 minutes after the clock hits zero. Under either scenario, please DO NOT try to cut it close. If you get left behind, you are on your own
.
