What a day!

Those three little words speak volumes for our chapter bus trip to State College, Pa., for the Alabama-Penn State football game.

We had 215 Alabama fans (and one Penn State fan) pack five Hampton Luxury Liner buses for our round-trip trek to see the Tide roll all over the Nittany Lions in Beaver Stadium. It was a memorable experience that began early in the morning and ended early...the next morning.

This trip would not have been possible if not for the time and efforts of many. Special thanks go out to Christopher Hollinger and Heath Terry for managing the trip's logistics from start to finish, to Corey Gibbs and Ticket Solutions for extending ticket offers to UANYC members and bus participants and to Rigo Flores, Reese Goode, Rebecca Mummert and Elise Zieman for serving as bus captains. (I served as a bus captain as well --- repping Bus No. 5!)

In an attempt to capture the nearly 20-hour excursion, I decided to record audio clips using throughout the day using my trusty iPhone to scribe a chronological blog of the trip. A travel log, if you will.

I am "transcribing" the over 30 audio entries and gathering tidbits from others. If you have a funny ancedote or a moment or two to share, please send it my way at communications@uanyc.com. Check back for the full account.

In the meantime, click on the photo gallery link above and enjoy the day in pictures. As it has been said, a picture is worth a thousand words...
